Walk around in late afternoon at Kathmandu

一旦雨がやんだものの、しばらくするとまた降るという天気のカトマンズ。ガイドのニルさんが、気を利かせて、街を案内するからといってくれたので、お言葉に甘えてついていきました。

ホテルから路地を通り抜けていくと、そこには露天商がたくさんいます。土曜日であるうえに、お祭り中なので、お店がしまっている上に人が少ないと、ニルさんは言いますが、それでも、'混沌とした雰囲気はなかなかのものです。
この混沌とした雰囲気は、映画に出てくる昔のアジア街のようでもあり、未来世紀ブラジルの1シーンみたいな将来の世紀末都市のようでもあります。

It is rainy day, sometimes stopping but sometimes starting rain. My guide Nir took me to the city around.

Going through the streets, there were so many roadside shops. Nir said "Not so crowded because today is Saturday and in the festival period". But I can hear the beat of the dynamism in the city.
Streets looks like old scenery in the movie, but is similar to the scene in "Brazil".
